Unique Reptiles

A small grey and brown reptile bearing on its back dark brown patterns and a million years of life. The viper of Milos: one of the rarest species on the planet lives exclusively on Milos and the nearby smaller islands, witnessing its population to diminish by chases of the past and the irresponsible madness of collectors. On summer nights, it seeks food in the darkness, while in daytime, in order to protect itself from the lurking dangers and blistering heat, it finds shelter inside the bushes of the small valleys… Their hospitable shadow protects it, as well as the law that now enforces its preservation along with all other rare reptile species that make up the fascinating ecosystem of Milos.
