Geology-Beaches-Therapeutic Hot Springs

Milos: a vivid memory from the earth’s unsettled childhood. A peak of the Aegais, the continent that was destined to float in the archipelago, bearing traces of volcanoes on its back and entrails. Healed craters, caves embroidered on the shores, restless sea meteors and hot springs mark two million years of chained explosions – systematic notes on an earthly calendar that was eventually transformed into an island, preserving all varieties of frozen lava: obsidian, perlite, bentonite, kaolinite, pozzolana, sulfur, barite, gypsum, alum….Deposits underneath the earth’s resources – resources of life for the people, from the dawn of prehistory to our days. Beds of rock on its skin – exhibits in a unique, outdoor geological museum.
